Family-Centered Kitchen
This young family needed space to spread out and stay organized. They approached us for this substantial remodel which included removing walls and expanding existing doorways. A traditional West Hartford Colonial-style home, the original kitchen felt closed off from the rest of the house and was in desperate need of an update along with structural changes. For family-style eating, we created a huge work-horse island with two sinks, a dishwasher, and a beverage frig. The perimeter cabinets were kept white for a young, up-to-date vibe. We also created a small "mudroom" area tucked behind a
much-needed message center with additional storage as one enters the space from the exterior doorway or garage.
